Hello to all,
I retired a few years ago and can now devote more time to the
important stuff in life - such as building model aircraft, wooden
ship models and learning the art of carving. Being raised in the
state of Mississippi I have a great affection for the Mississippi
River paddlewheeler and have been looking for a kit as my next
project. I am intriged to find that a group exists focused on this
topic and look forward to expanding my education and craftsman skills
on all things paddlewheel.

Hi John:

On behalf of your moderators and everyone here, A VERY warm welcome
to Paddleducks. You're in good company here, especially if you like
Mississippi paddlers. Lots of help available if you want to build a
model riverboat. A good place to start is our own Towboat Joe's
Website with loads of information, photos, models, and plans of
inland river work boats.

If in your search you find the "Bailey Gatzert", A John Fryant
plan and decide you want to build it I have good news for you.
I bought the plan some years ago and decided it was not what
I wanted to build. (See Quarter Wheeler Jean photo album. That
is what I did build) You can have the plans for the "BG" for the
cost of shipping.
