Title: Wire bender
Post by: G Mason on June 20, 2005, 05:48:07 PM
Hello fellow PDers,

I am looking for a hobbyists lever action wire bender that will accurately
bend wire (or tubing) up to 1/8" or 3/16" in 3 dimensions for hand rails,
engine plumbing, etc, etc, etc. I can find 2 dimentional benders locally
but not one that works in 3 planes, an example of the type of thing I am
looking for can be seen at http://www.micromark.com/ part number 82819,
Universal Bender. Micro Mark, "God bless 'em", have quoted US$42.00 airmail
to Australia and refuse to deliver any other way. Countless hours on the
internet and the telephone have produced nothing, can someone please help to
ease my frustration?

Regards,
Graham Mason (Australia)

If you are handy with some tools try this link - yahoo site

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/mlprojects/files/NeatThings/

there are two pipe / wire benders that may help.

You will have to join-up to get in but worth a look.
