Hi to everybody here !!
I'm Giampaolo (JP for friends) , from Italy and I'm just new in this
group.
I'm happy to be here..This group seems really very interesting for my
last, actual(and future) models.
After about 15 years of building "only" and mainly sailing ships, are
about three or four years that I'm challenging in scratchbuilding of
paddlewheel ships (static models, at the moment...)
I built a model in scale 1:100 of the river gunboat USS Cairo and now
I'm working since a couple of years on a model of the Italian paddle
scout "Esploratore" (1862) and on a model of the French paddle frigate
"Le Sphinx" (1829).
I would like to know if anybody here has some informations, pics or
drawings about those two ships.. I think to have already a lot of
info about...but..who knows?
Now, I'll try to read as much as possible of your previous messages...
and I hope to be also helpful for someother people here !!
Bye for now...
