Title: Willow paddle steamer
Post by: John Gold on June 19, 2005, 09:39:25 PM
Whlist on holiday in Malaga, I saw a US Mississippi paddle steamer
called The Willow. It is now permanently moored but in very good
external condition. The engine is removed, and the boat is used as
offices.

I have tried without success to get hold of plans. All I have managed
to find out is that it sank and was salvaged and towed to Europe.

Thanks

John
The old steamers that paddled their way on the inland rivers here in
the states were pretty similar. There was your packet boats,
passenger/excursion boats, towboats, and the smaller pool boats.
Each one had their distinct differences. If you have a picture you
could email me, I may be able to match it up with plans from a
simular boat.
