Paddlers in the UK,
I am going to London in September for 8 days. I already know I'll be
visiting Greenwich and Portsmouth, but what other sites must I really
see? One thing to keep in mind. This is my 10th anniversary and 2nd
honeymoon, so I can't spend all my time hunting down ships. Luckily
my wife likes old ships too so I can get away with quite a lot.

Hi there Brian.
Reckoned to be one of the great ship heritage sites of the world is the
Chatham Dockyard, east of London.
Here is the website for all the details of it http://www.chdt.org.uk/ .
You can also see (I think) the remains of the John H Amos (last steam driven
tug in UK) lying on a slipway just outside the dockyard area.
Just an idea, have a great trip to UK.
All the very best
David
