Yes! Jarrah is a really loverly timber, and your right, it would be a much better timber
than Red Gum for modeling purposes, much finner grain, sill the deep rich red colour.
Definately a nicer timber to work with, looks great, I've had a Jarrah outdoor table & chair
setting ( made in West Aust - of course!) and it still looks great after 5 years outside, with
a quick oiling every year or so to bring the colour out.
