Description: Picture of former confederate runner after being captured by the Federal Navy in the latter part of the US Civil War. You can see that the ship's paddlewheels have been removed. The ship was hit by shells from blockading ships when she was captured. Perhaps the paddlewheels were also damaged and were removed for repair??
