Sad news
« on: September 08, 2024, 09:13:12 AM »
I have to inform the group of the sad news that Bob Golder died following a diagnosis of a brain tumour a few weeks ago. Bob was a very good friend, and supported me when my wife died of a brain tumour 14 years ago.... He will be sadly missed, rest in peace my friend...

Regards
Eddy

Belated respects on the sad death of Bob Golder. Bob and I go back 47 years since we founded the Darlington model boat club. He was one of our founder members. (Of the first twelve members I am the only one still alive). We shared a love of Clyde steamers in particular the Waverley. I have treasured memories of trips to Scotland with Bob and eddy Matthews. Bob will be sadly missed by all his friends at theDDMBC and on paddleducks.
Blessed are the "cracked" -for they let in the light for the rest of us.
