The latest house magazine of the paddle steamer preservation society has a picture of a lovely (Campbells white funnel?) Paddler in the archives section with the caption "the first radio controlled model boat used in a movie". The film was the first of THE THIRTY NINE STEPS from the early 1930s. Its a very long time since I saw this film I will have to watch it again. This current issue is full of super pictures- particularly of the before and after of Waverleys broken nose, taken in drydock. A lovely bit of riveted plastic surgery. Its a pity this quarterly magazine is only open to society members. Regards, Walter.
