I'm getting well into my build now and the more I'm going I'm getting more confidence so much so I may do my own paddle wheels, I'm veering towards plastic as it's light and easily worked. The plans i have are 97mm outside diameter rimless wheels the question I've got is 2mm thickness for the outer wheels sufficient or overkill?

depending on the design of reinforcement, 2 mm width plastic x a nominal 100 mm rimless design of paddle wheel would not be out of visual scale :hammer

Thanks Derek I thought it wasn't too over the top the only thing is I want longevity so I'm casting round for idea's I've had a decent quote for laser cut paddles in brass which has sent my brain down another path. I'm absolutely loving building this boat the little challenges that keep cropping up with it.
