ENGINE ROOM MODEL

(1/1)

Robert Hornby:
A stern drive paddle wheeler was built around 1890 in the town where I live. She was built as a ferry carrying 100 passengers and sailed on the Hawkesbury River north of Sydney.
I was looking for a new model to build and thought about making what I thought the engine room and drive system the boat would have had. It is only my idea of how it would have been as I have not found any photos of it, only the mention that the engines were locomotive type.
The model is a working being able to run on steam, air or 12 volts.
I made the electric motor system to run with a timer so viewers can press the button and it will run for around 30 seconds (adjustable) I have a video of it but unable to post it here.
I wasn't sure just how the valve drive was made. Does anyone know how the drive would have been designed?
