Croatian bracera

The wedding was now only two weeks away, so it was time to kick it into high gear!
First I made pulleys and deadeyes, and put some more details on the deck.

Then, of course, standing rigging.
Plus, this little "detail" on the main mast I almost forgot about.

And finally, the sails - I made them from unbleached linen fabric, glued thread on the edges, and sewed the lines by hand.
In the last picture, the main sail is temporarily held by clips, until I glued it in place and tied those last few lines.

My bracera was now finished, and it was time to go get married

The little boat was a total success, and was the second star of the show (the first one being my wife, naturally ).
Our 4 year old nephew was very happy and excited to be able to carry it around (the boat survived intact!).
